Bus Driver Weekdays 2: Transport all that people through your city carefully

Bus Driver Weekdays 2 is a driving simulation game. It uses a top-down view of the map. The graphics are not badly done in the game although they are also a little too detailed to be clear considering there is no full screen mode available. The animations are nice, consistent and smooth. One issue is that the graphics are a little confusing making it hard to tell if something is a street, a sidewalk or something else. There is no music while you play. The sound effects are lacking. There are not enough sound effects to let you know when something is happening in the game world.

You are a bus driver in this game. You start in a large city. The controls are all fairly basic. You use the WSAD keys or arrow keys to steer the bus, accelerate and move in reverse. The space bar pulls the emergency brake. The M key opens up a map of the city. The map can be problematic. You are supposed to use it to plan your routes. Unfortunately, the map is incredibly small and finely detailed. It also has a very low level of contrast on the screen. This makes it difficult to actually distinguish streets and pathways.

Your goal in the game is to earn money and keep your bus operating. You have stops that you need to reach in order to pick up passengers and earn money. You get money whenever you pick up and drop off passenger. The pickup and drop off points are selected by the game. Additionally, you have meters for fuel and health. Driving around the city uses fuel. Crashing into obstacles or getting into accidents reduces the damage meter. There are repair shops and gas stations to replenish the meters. You also have to content with police cars that can instantly fine you for moving violations. This takes away some of your money and can put you into negative amounts.

One of the main issues with Bus Driver Weekdays 2 is that it is somewhat unforgiving. If you do not pull your bus exactly into the flashing rectangle at a stop, then you need to keep adjusting slowly until you do. This takes time and becomes frustrating. Another issue is that the computer-controlled cars cause accidents and block your path for no real reason at all. Overall, Bus Driver Weekdays 2 is a solid game that can be entertaining if you enjoy driving simulators.
