“Google Feud” is a type of quiz or puzzle game based on quirks in the popular search engine. The game developers have no connection to Google. The graphics in the game are simple by any standards. The main play screen is designed to look like the basic search page from Google. There are no real animations. Everything is done through text-based user interface elements. A real drawback is that the game does not include any sound. You do not get any audio feedback when you succeed or fail. This can leave the game feeling a little dry at times.
The trick of “Google Feud” is that the game asks you how Google would autocomplete the phrases. This means you are really competing against everyone who has ever used the search engine. A fast way to get a few correct answers is to simply enter the phrase or name you are given into Google. You can then see how the actual search engine autocompletes the phrase. That will only get you so far, however. Attempting to guess the remaining six or more answers can be close to impossible. You rack up a score between rounds on the bottom of the screen. The game is open-ended meaning that you can just keep playing round after round without penalties.
There is a major problem with “Google Feud” and the answers. Many of the answers are basically impossible to guess. You will frequently see answers that are nonsensical or unrelated to the phrase that you are given. You will sometimes see “Google feud game” as an answer. This leaves you unable to successfully complete just about every round. You can still accumulate a larger and larger score between rounds. There is no ending in the game to reward players who do well. “Google Feud” is a unique quiz game although it can get frustrating at times.
