Loot Clicker is a unique game. It is basically a real-time strategy
game although it the interface is very basic. Unlike other strategy
games, Loot Clicker does not rely on flashy graphics. Everything is
done through a single screen that contains several large buttons and
menus. The graphics are intentionally blocky and pixilated. This is
probably so that the game looks the same regardless of the screen
resolution. One of the main drawbacks of Loot Clicker is that there are
no instructions or in-game tutorials. This is a big problem since the
game does not use standard elements. It is still somewhat easy to
figure out what is happening through trial and error.
The goal of Loot Clicker is to earn as much gold as possible through
farming monsters. The game has no real back-story and is almost a
parody of some popular online games. It has a fantasy theme. The
interface is simple. There is a bar across the center that acts like a
tabbed interface. There are several generic character classes along the
bottom like warrior, mage and knight. You play by switching between
screens using the buttons and buying or selling things. The entire
focus of the game is gold.
You start with no money and no units. There is a button in the upper
left marked farm. You get a single gold coin each time you click the
button. You have to click farm a few dozen times before you can buy
your first unit. Once you buy a unit, you begin earning gold
automatically. The amount of gold you earn every second goes up as you
acquire more units. Different unit types attack different monsters that
can be worth more gold. This is all automated. You eventually begin
earning tens of thousands of gold coins every second. You use the gold
to buy more units, to buy upgrades for you units or to perform research.
You occasionally find items that enhance the abilities of your units.
You end up buying multiple types of each unit class along the bottom.
You can have hundreds of units although they get more expensive to
purchase over time. The game has an achievement screen that provides
some direction. The achievements are all focused on either the amount
of gold you have, the number of units you have or the amount of loot you
have found. Loot Clicker is a unique game that can be fun although
there is no storyline or ultimate goal for victory.
Try your luck with Loot Clicker and play it now!
