Overtorque Stunt Racing Review

Overtorque Stunt Racing brings the fun and excitement of games like San Francisco Rush and Need For Speed right to your computer. With multiple modes and options available to purchase for cars with money earned in-game, I found myself playing Overtorque for hours without getting bored.

Race Mode - The epitome of single player racing. Facing off against multiple opponents, you must rocket across the map to make sure you're first place. Using the space bar to boost and keeping within the barrier markers to stay on track, this mode was easily my favorite.
Free Roam - This area is for easy, relaxed exploring. The map is completely open to you, and the road is yours. Let yourself get familiar with the controls without the pressure of racing against the clock.

Hot Dog - An intense nail biting challenge where you must rush around the open map in search of stunt markers to earn cash. Jump mountains, drop off bridges, and use your boost to hustle against time. With this mode, you don't have to worry about car damage. With invincibility, you can smash into anything as you scramble without the headache of harming your precious car.

Interceptor - With illegally modified cars racing about the open streets, you must take the law into your own hands and smash them off the road! Your car is again indestructible in this mode, so have at it! Destroying a car will net you $200-2000 cash for new car mods and 60 more seconds to keep the action going. If you enjoyed games like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit or Burnout, you'll love playing Interceptor.

For a free game, Overtorque definitely has my vote. It uses the Unity engine, which is common for mobile and web-based games today. It was fluid and smooth in its keyboard based controls. I played it on both my Intel Atom based laptop and my Asus Vivotab Smart tablet and on both I was able to run Overtorque Stunt Racing on high quality without graphical issues. I'd keep writing more, but I want to go back and play!

Enjoy!
