Your job in Trollface Quest 6 is to mutilate the poor buddy on the screen. The character in each scene is not you. The character you play
is actually trollface. You appear only a few times in the game. The
game starts with a slightly amusing comic-style narrative of trollface
grabbing someone and forcing the individual to play different sports. From spinning to squash, all of the challenges in the game revolve around sports in some way.
The only way you interact with Trollface Quest 6 is through the mouse.
You can click on different things on the screen. Exactly what happens
when you click an item is never known ahead of time. The results can be
surprising and even funny at times. One issue with this control scheme
is that Trollface Quest 6 does not use a custom cursor. You get the
basic arrow or pointing finger you would normally have in any other
application. This sometimes makes it difficult to know what can and
cannot be clicked in a scene.
You are presented with a series of screens throughout the game. These
are the levels. You need to figure out what to do to win the level.
Winning in Trollface Quest 6 does not mean you successfully complete the
sport being shown. It usually means you torture the person or people
on the screen in some way. You can do this by unscrewing bolts,
adjusting ramps or dropping punching bags on the person.
The only challenge in Trollface Quest 6 is the number of clicks you use
to complete the game. Every click you make is recorded on a counter on
the screen. Your goal is to solve all the puzzles with as few clicks as
possible. This can be difficult at first since so much of the game is
trial and error. There is no internal consistency between levels. A
major drawback of Trollface Quest 6 is that there are only 10 levels.
The game can easily be beaten in just a few minutes. Trollface Quest 6
is an entertaining distraction although it does not have much
replayability.
